Samsung washing machine 4C error
Independent repair, not Samsung's service centre.
On most Samsung washing machines, 4C means a water supply problem. Water is not coming in properly, so the machine cannot fill. Often the tap is not fully open, or the hose is bent. A blocked detergent drawer can show it too. Codes differ by model. Check your manual too.

Switch off at the socket with dry hands, then unplug. Is the socket wet, warm, sparking or smelling of burning? Do not touch it. Call us.
Burning smell, sparks, or water near a socket? Do not touch the appliance or the plug. Keep everyone away. Call us.
Fire, or smoke filling the room? Leave the house. Call 112.
Safe checks you can do
These come from Samsung's own steps. We left out the ones that need tools or moving the machine.
Switch off at the socket with dry hands, then unplug. Is the socket wet, warm, sparking or smelling of burning? Do not touch it. Call us.
Turn the tap for the washing machine fully open.
Run the kitchen tap. Is the flow thin or stopped? Then wait for the water supply.
Pull out the detergent drawer. Powder or gel stuck inside? Rinse it clean. Push it back fully.
Look at the inlet hose where you can see it. Bent sharply? Straighten it gently by hand. Do not move the machine.
Plug in with dry hands. Start a short wash. Does 4C show again?
Samsung says low water pressure can cause 4C. Samsung says the supply must be strong enough. Is the kitchen tap flow thin?
Samsung's own steps also say to pull the machine forward. They say to take the hose off and rinse the mesh filters. Leave both to us.

What we do on a visit
We check that water reaches the machine. Then we take the hose off and clean the mesh filters.
Hard water in Thane leaves scale on inlet valves. We find this often. If the valve that lets water in has failed, we replace it.
Basic faults are usually fixed on the first visit. A part may have to be ordered. That usually takes 2–3 days.
