You notice: Error codes, not starting. Check first: Switch it off at the wall for two minutes, then on again. If the same code comes back, note it and tell us.

Safety first
Switch off at the socket with dry hands, then unplug. Is the socket wet, warm, sparking or smelling of burning? Do not touch it. Call us.
Burning smell, sparks, or water near a socket? Do not touch the appliance or the plug. Keep everyone away. Call us.
Fire, or smoke filling the room? Leave the house. Call 112.
Water not draining (OE)
LG says to check the drain filter first. Then straighten the drain hose. Check the filter before you blame the pump.
The drain pump pushes dirty water out. If it has failed, we replace it.

Water not coming in (IE)
LG says IE is often the home's water pressure, not the machine. Open the tap fully. Look for a bent hose you can see.
In Thane, hard water leaves scale on the inlet valve. That is the valve that lets water in.

Drum not spinning (UE)
LG says to spread the load out by hand. Wash big blankets one at a time.
Many LG front loads are Direct Drive. There is no belt to wear out.

Door will not lock (dL)
LG says a stray sock in the latch usually causes dL. Close the door or lid firmly.
PE on the screen
The machine cannot read the water level. LG says unplug it and restart. PE that keeps coming back needs a technician.
Codes that are not faults
- CL means the child lock is on. LG says hold the lock button for 3 to 5 seconds.
- tcL is a reminder. Run the Tub Clean cycle to clear it.
Leaks and loud noise
Water on the floor? The door gasket, the rubber seal round the door, may be torn.
A loud rumble? The bearings, the rings the drum turns on, may be worn.

Keep your LG machine working in Thane
